Kiss Cutting

Kiss cutting is a process where adhesive-backed parts are cut through, but the laminated backing paper is not. The process got its name because the steel rule die cuts through the gasket material, but only “kisses” the backing paper without cutting it. This leaves the parts on a continuous roll, dramatically reducing the time it takes for assembly line personnel to peel them from the roll versus handling individual parts. Kiss cutting is a great alternative when production line efficiency is crucial.
